Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in accurately and swiftly dispensing prescriptions and providing customer service at the pharmacy counter. Duties also involve restocking medications and supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining precise patient records through the use of a computerized system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists in the preparation and delivery of prescribed medications for customers.
• Provide quick and polite service when attending to customers at the pharmacy.
• Acquire and bill prescriptions for consumers.
• Procure and refill medications, materials, and OTC merchandise.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records, oversee inventory quantities, and handle invoicing procedures.
• Harness the power of technology to make precise financial entries and handle documentation efficiently.

Qualifications:

• The minimum educational requirement includes a high school diploma or a similar credential.
• Preference is given to candidates with prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare, but it is not essential.
• Thorough scrutiny of details and exceptional organizational proficiency.
• Strong capabilities in offering exceptional customer care and effective interaction.
• Proficient in working with both computers and pharmacy management programs.
• Experience in handling tasks effectively in a fast-paced atmosphere and abiding by instructions provided by a licensed pharmacist.
