Job Summary:
Supporting the pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant ensures the precise and efficient completion of prescription orders while also managing customer interactions at the pharmacy counter. Additionally, responsibilities include restocking medications and supplies, organizing inventory, and updating patient records electronically.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the processing and dispensing of prescriptions for patients.
- Offer speedy and respectful support at the pharmacy counter.
- Obtain and charge medication orders for patrons.
- Organize the ordering and renewal of pharmaceuticals, resources, and retail goods.
- Ensure accurate patient documentation, monitor stock inventory, and handle financial paperwork.
- Employ computerized mechanisms to ensure accuracy in accounting entries and record processing.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess a high school diploma or its comparably qualified alternative.
- Experience in pharmacy or healthcare is advantageous, though it is not a prerequisite for the role.
- Meticulous attention to particulars and strong organizational capabilities.
- Proficient in delivering outstanding customer support and maintaining clear communication.
- Skilled in operating computers and pharmaceutical databases.
- Demonstrated skill in thriving in a rapid work environment and executing tasks as directed by a licensed pharmacist.
