Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about healthcare and customer service? Join our team at Costco as a Pharmacy Technician! We are seeking individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service and support within our pharmacy department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with inquiries, prescription pickups, and refills. Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the pharmacy counter. Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments securely.
• Assist with inventory maintenance, including restocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and managing overstock.
• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, including data entry, insurance verification, and medication dispensing.
• Provide basic information to customers regarding prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and general health and wellness topics.
• Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
• Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to support daily operations and maintain a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with customers in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability to accurately handle medications, process transactions, and maintain detailed records with a high level of accuracy.
• Willingness to collaborate with pharmacy team members to achieve common goals and deliver outstanding service to customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations required for cash handling and inventory management.
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
