Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Assistant aids the pharmacist in accurately and promptly filling and distributing prescriptions. This position includes providing customer assistance at the pharmacy register, replenishing medications and supplies, overseeing inventory, and keeping precise patient records through a digitalized platform.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Help pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications to clients.
• Deliver prompt and polite assistance at the pharmacy service desk.
• Fulfill and process prescriptions for clients.
• Arrange for the acquisition and replenishment of medications, supplies, and non-prescription items.
• Keep patient files current, monitor stock levels, and oversee billing statements.
• Utilize automated systems for precise accounting input and managing records effectively.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is a mandatory prerequisite.
• While previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred, it is not mandatory.
• Intense focus on specifics and adept organizational abilities.
• Exceptional skills in providing top-notch customer service and effective communication.
• Experienced in utilizing computer technology and pharmacy software.
• Capacity to operate efficiently in a high-speed setting and adhere to directives given by a registered pharmacist.
